Analysis: Billups is averaging 26.3 points in his last three games - 8.1 points better than his season average. The Nuggets are 12-3 since trading Allen Iverson to the Detroit Pistons for Billups.
12/3/2008 Danny Granger, G-F (Ind) Granger had 32 points and five assists as the Pacers beat the Los Angeles Lakers 118-117 on Tuesday night.

Analysis: It was Granger's second 30-point performance in three games, but it wasn't a very efficient outing for the Pacers' leading scorer. Granger made only 10 of his season-high 27 shots against the Lakers, though he was a solid 4-for-10 from 3-point range and a perfect 8-for-8 from the free-throw line.
12/3/2008 Rasho Nesterovic, C (Ind) Nesterovic had 16 points, 10 rebounds and four assists as the Pacers beat the Los Angeles Lakers 118-117 on Tuesday night.

Analysis: It was the second double-double of the season for Nesterovic, who's averaging 9.8 points for his highest mark since he scored a career-best 11.2 points per game with Minnesota in 2002-03. He's also averaging 3.3 assists, more than double his previous career high, while emerging as a serviceable fantasy center.

Analysis: The Raptors continue their road trip Friday against Utah, and Bosh is averaging 20.0 points and 9.7 rebounds in three games against the Jazz since 2006-07.
12/3/2008 T.J. Ford, PG (Ind) Ford had 21 points and eight assists as the Pacers beat the Los Angeles Lakers 118-117 on Tuesday night. He was 9-for-16 from the field.

Analysis: After shooting a solid 47.9 percent in his first seven games, Ford connected on only 35.1 percent of his shots over nine games before Tuesday's breakthrough. While he may be a streaky shooter, Ford remains one of the better playmakers in the league, averaging 5.4 assists.
12/3/2008 Caron Butler, SF (Was) Butler had 22 points and 10 assists in the Wizards' 108-88 win over the Nets Tuesday.

Analysis: Washington's next game is against Portland on Wednesday, and Butler averaged 16.0 points in two games versus the Blazers last season.
12/3/2008 Devin Harris, PG (NJ) Harris had 18 points, but only three after halftime, and just two assists in Tuesday's 108-88 loss to the Wizards.

Analysis: Harris, the NBA Player of the Week last week, had averaged 33.0 points and 7.0 assists in his last three games - all New Jersey wins.
12/3/2008 Andrew Bynum, C (LAL) Bynum had 17 points and nine rebounds in the Lakers' 118-117 loss to Indiana on Tuesday night. He was 6-for-9 from the field.

Analysis: Bynum was one rebound shy of his fifth double-double in six games. After averaging 9.9 points and shooting 45.5 percent from the field in his first eight games of the season, the fourth-year center's averaging 15.5 points and shooting 61.5 percent in his last eight.
12/3/2008 John Salmons, G-F (Sac) Salmons missed the Kings' 99-94 loss to Utah on Tuesday night because of a groin injury.

Analysis: Salmons, who strained his groin in Saturday's loss to Dallas, is day-to-day. He's averaging a career-high 19.2 points, 3.6 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 1.2 steals while shooting 50.5 percent from the field, also a career best.
12/3/2008 Paul Millsap, F-C (Uta) Millsap continued his strong play in the absence of Carlos Boozer on Tuesday night, recording 13 points, 11 rebounds, five assists and three steals in a 99-94 win over Sacramento.

Analysis: It was the fifth straight double-double for Millsap, who's averaging 16.2 points and 10.3 rebounds while shooting 55.7 percent from the field in six starts in place of Boozer, sidelined with a quadriceps injury.
12/3/2008 Ronnie Brewer, G-F (Uta) Brewer had 14 points on 6-for-9 shooting as the Jazz beat Sacramento 99-94 on Tuesday night.

Analysis: Brewer has been a stabilizing force for the injury-plagued Jazz this season. He's one of only two players to start all 19 games, and after ranking fourth on the team in total points last season, he's first this year because Deron Williams, Carlos Boozer and Mehmet Okur have all missed extended time.
12/3/2008 Spencer Hawes, F-C (Sac) Hawes had 14 points, seven rebounds, a career-high six assists and three steals in the Kings' 99-94 loss to Utah on Tuesday night.

Analysis: Hawes was in the starting lineup for the eighth time this season, and he could continue to see big minutes if he continues tom play as well as he did Tuesday. He was 6-for-12 from the field and delivered his 15th double-figure scoring performance of the season. He's averaging 12.9 points and 7.5 boards as a starter.
12/3/2008 Elton Brand, F-C (Phi) Brand had 22 and 14 rebounds for the 76ers as they split a home-and-home set with the Bulls, thanks to a 103-95 overtime win at Chicago on Tuesday.

Analysis: Brand is averaging 17.4 points on 45.7 percent shooting this season, and is grabbing 10.3 boards per contest. This was his ninth double-double of the season. Philadelphia plays three of its next four at home, where it is 5-4 after losing the last two there. Brand has scored 18.1 points per contest at the Wachovia Center, and is averaging 21.2 in 27 career matchups against Wednesday's opponent - the Los Angeles Lakers.
12/3/2008 Andre Miller, PG (Phi) Miller scored a season-high 28 points for the 76ers as they split a home-and-home set with the Bulls, thanks to a 103-95 overtime win at Chicago on Tuesday.

Analysis: Miller, who totaled 27 points in his previous two contests, last scored 28 points in a win over Denver on March 19.However, he was just 9-of-26 (34.6 percent) from the field Tuesday. Still, he is second on the team with 14.7 points per game.
12/3/2008 Andre Iguodala, G-F (Phi) Iguodala scored a season-best 25 points for the 76ers as they split a home-and-home set with the Bulls, thanks to a 103-95 overtime win at Chicago on Tuesday.

Analysis: Iguodala, who managed just 17 points in his last two contests, shot 57.9 percent (11-for-19) from the field. He also grabbed nine rebounds and dished out five assists. The 24-year-old is averaging 13.7 points, 6.4 boards and 5.2 assists this season.
12/3/2008 Derrick Rose, PG (Chi) Rose led Chicago with 24 points, but the Bulls lost 103-95 in overtime to Philadelphia on Tuesday night.

Analysis: Rose is averaging 18.7 points on 49.3 percent shooting through 18 games. On Tuesday , he shot 57.9 percent (11-for-19) from the field and also grabbed six rebounds. But the rookie picked up his fourth and fifth fouls in the final quarter and twice had to go to the bench.
12/3/2008 Tyrus Thomas, F (Chi) Thomas had 14 points and grabbed a season-high 13 rebounds coming off the bench, but the host Bulls lost 103-95 in overtime to Philadelphia on Tuesday night.

Analysis: Thomas hadn't recorded a double-double since posting a 15-point, 10-rebound effort in a season-opening win over Milwaukee. Though he was just 4-for-9 from the field, he turned in his best scoring performance since he totaled 14 points in a win over Phoenix on Nov. 7. He is averaging 6.8 points this season, starting seven of 18 overall games.
12/3/2008 Rasheed Wallace, F-C (Det) Wallace made three 3-pointers in the fourth quarter and scored 17 points in the final 15 minutes after picking up a technical, and the Detroit Pistons rallied from 10 points down to beat San Antonio 89-77 on Tuesday night.

Analysis: "After the tech, he kind of took matters in his own hands, started being a lot more aggressive," teammate Allen Iverson said. "It paid dividends for us." Wallace finished with 19 points after totaling as many in his previous two games, and shot 54.5 percent (6-for-11) from the field. He also made a season high-tying four 3-pointers. Wallace is averaging 13.3 points thus far.

Analysis: Iverson, who went 8-for-17 (47.1 percent) from the field, bounced back with a solid performance after being held to nine points on 2-of-9 shooting in a loss to Portland on Sunday. The guard is averaging 17.9 points on 40.7 percent shooting, and has dished out 5.6 assists per contest this season.
12/3/2008 Tim Duncan, F-C (SA) Duncan finished with 23 points, but scored just one point in the fourth quarter of the Spurs' 89-77 loss to visiting Detroit on Tuesday.

Analysis: But Duncan wasn't the only one to have a letdown in the fourth quarter. San Antonio went 5-of-15 from the floor, and the Pistons converted the Spurs' six turnovers into 10 points. Duncan shot 47.4 percent (9-for-19) in the game, and scored 20 points for just the second time in his last seven contests. He also grabbed 13 rebounds. He is averaging 20.9 points and 10.2 boards this season.
