Embarking on his second season in the premier class with the Rizla Suzuki team, Alvaro Bautista is set to complete a decade in MotoGP. His debut season in 2010 in the premier class has shown the Spaniard's potential as he finished 13th in the championship despite suffering from an injury early in the year. Bautista's progress to the premier class was an obvious one after spending eight seasons in the junior categories. He made his debut in 2002 in the 125cc class winning the title four years later. He subsequently impressed in the 250cc category as well in the following three seasons finishing runner-up in 2008 before moving into the premier class in 2010.
